Participants go through the Wild Spirit Adventure process of all 4 stages so that profound changes take hold and apply to their lives. The 4 Stages are: "Pouring Out," "In Body," "Mindfulness," and "Bringing in the Wisdom." Through all of it, we will, in supportive community, laugh, cry, dance, paint, journal, hike, draw, sing, and embrace everything that is! All Wild Spirit retreats are an intensive experience, with both group and solo activities and exercises from early morning till night time, occasionally in the middle of the night.

-What's my next step in life? -Do I choose A or B? -How do I move forward with decisions about my career? -How do I repair a relationship? -What does my personal spirituality look like? -Where is my partner? -How do I reduce the stress in my life?

This is a very special opportunity for us to explore our personal sacred questions over 4 days together in nature. On the retreat, participants receive wisdom and tools that apply to many areas of life. As a result, your path forward is sure to feel clearer, more in line with your particular values and dreams, one that feels "right" to YOU. This may relate to relationships with self or other, with career choices, with difficult decision-making, with cultivating a life of deep meaning. The retreat is an intensive experience, with both group and solo activities and exercises from Thursday evening until Sunday morning. Most participants walk away with information that serves as their compass from that point forward.

This is a Wild Spirit Adventure MEETUP GROUP hike, one of Toby's low-cost or free offerings to the community.

During this session, you will learn a couple of walking meditation techniques to practice in the natural world. Come with an open heart ready to connect.

GENERAL SESSION/HIKE DESCRIPTION:

Toby's sessions/hikes are a great way to reduce stress, relax, and reconnect to nature. During each hike, we will stop for mindfulness, nature-reconnection, movement/qigong, and/or meditative exercises, etc. Leave feeling peaceful and calm. Acquire tools for cultivating joy and well-being, in nature, by regularly joining the group. I sincerely appreciate your attendance and am committed to enriching and wholesome experiences for us all.

Waves in the Sea Retreat for Processing Loss and Grief

Loss and grief are very personal processes and everyone experiences them differently. As a supportive community, participants engage as a group and allow space for the individual and his or her solitude. Nature is our mentor and guide as we explore life and death in nature's cycles. Ritual and ceremony is an important part of this retreat as we create sacred space together as a community to display and declare our states of being and express the movement through various aspects of loss. By the conclusion of the retreat, participants often feel lighter, more at peace, and that they've honored both themselves and their loved one.

Mindful Tea Ceremony

Release your stress, lighten your spirit, free yourself in a cup of tea with friends. Feel connected to your body, the gifts of the earth, and the present moment. Please join us for a Mindful Tea Ceremony on Council Crest next weekend!

We incorporate mindfulness as the primary practice in our ceremony, infused with deep gratitude, compassion for all that has touched our tea, and awareness of bodily sensation throughout the process. There are many different tea ceremonies from the wisdom traditions of the world. This ceremony is inspired by Korean, Chinese, and Japanese intentions and practices, while humbly not limited to "musts" or a particular form. It includes teachings from Zen Buddhism and Judaism, among other sources. The group will honor a noble silence, while I lead both verbally and non-verbally. The ceremony may last up to 1 hour or so...

For those who want a dose of adventure, to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, and to celebrate the body and mindful practice. Depending on conditions, we may have the opportunity to summit Mt. Adams. This will be hike-in camping. Reserve by 8/22.


4-Day Retreat Olallie Lake   9/25-9/28

"Healing by Water Retreat"

Enjoy numerous high lakes and remote wilderness on this cleansing trip. We will focus on the stages of "Pouring Out" and "Bringing in Medicine" during this retreat. It will be especially beneficial for those wanting to free themselves from a weight on their shoulders and then receive guidance and wisdom from nature on how to move forward. We may either car-camp at a remote campground or hike-in to campsites. Reserve by 9/4.


3-Day Silver Falls Retreat   10/3-10/5
"Transitions"

This fall retreat is specifically geared toward those who are experiencing a transition in their life. Just as the Silver Creek is shaped and molded by the 10 majestic waterfalls, so too do our life events shape us. We learn from the environment about change, adaptation, and flow.
